  • Am I ready for lessons?
I accept students of all levels and ages! No matter where you are in your vocal or musical journey, I am here to help! My goal is to foster a love of music in my students whether they are working on becoming a professional or taking these lessons to have fun.
  • Where are the lessons located?
Lessons are online via Zoom, Facetime, or Skype. If you are in the Martin County Florida area, lessons can also be in person.
  • What do I need for lessons?
*Music will be supplied for you.* (This is part of the lesson fee.) You are encouraged to get your own copies of the music as it is good to build a library, but this is not mandatory. You are responsible for having: - A secure connection to internet. (if online) - Your music with your notes on it and a pencil or stylus. - Water. You are allowed to record audio for lessons so you can refer to it when practicing. Be in a space where you feel comfortable to sing out, move around, and take some artistic risks! Before each lesson I expect my students to be prepared with: -Their music/ materials. -Questions they have while they were practicing. -Ideas on what they want to improve in. -A ready to learn attitude! What might be helpful to have: (not mandatory) -Your own original sheet music from the music store/ online service. (Build that music library.) - A keyboard, piano, or other instrument that can give you the notes to sing. - A recording device for audition videos, lessons, and practice. - Vocal health supplies. (Throat coat, steamer, etc. We can talk about some of these materials in voice lessons.)
  • Do you offer different payment options for your lessons?
Yes, I currently offer three payment options: Zelle, Venmo, and cash. You can choose whichever payment method is most convenient for you. This is due before the lesson. There will be no refunds for late unexcused cancellations. I will make up the lesson if there is an extenuating circumstance.
  • What payment options do you offer for your lessons? I have some financial concerns.
I understand that investing in voice lessons can be a big commitment. That's why I offer flexible payment plans to make our lessons accessible to all. I will work with you to create a payment plan that fits your budget and schedule. Additionally, if you need assistance with any part of the payment process, I am happy to help. My goal is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to learn and improve their skills through my lessons. I strive to make music accessible for all.
  • What is your policy on absences, cancellations, and late arrivals?
I understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, but to ensure that our lessons run smoothly, I have a few policies in place. I allow no more than three unexcused absences, late cancellations, or late arrivals. If you have more than three, you will be asked to leave my studio. If you need to cancel a lesson, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance. This allows me to schedule other students who may be waiting for a time slot. If you have any questions or concerns about my policies, please don't hesitate to ask.
  • What if I want to take more than one class?
As an music instructor, I offer a variety of other non-voice classes such as music theory, ukulele, piano, guitar, intro to music, audition preparation, and role preparation. You can even combine multiple classes into one hour slot. Additionally, for those interested in receiving a discount, I offer bundle packages for multiple hour lesson slots. As 2 or more hour lessons are a lot, I recommend spacing out the lesson times to different days of the week or rotating weekly on the lesson. Contact me for more information about class options and pricing.
  • What is your teaching philosophy?
I believe that every student has the potential to become a great singer and well rounded musician. My teaching philosophy is to provide personalized instruction to help each student reach their maximum potential. I focus on developing proper breath control, vocal technique, and performance skills to help students achieve their goals. I want to build a strong foundation that my students can use it to sing whatever style they want! I also believe in creating a comfortable and supportive learning environment where students can feel confident to take risks and grow as artists.
  • How did you get into singing?
I have been singing since I was young. I was lucky to be surrounded by music that my family was playing on the radio. My family took me to musical theatre shows and concerts. I was always putting on shows in my living room and singing along anywhere I went! In elementary school l I was in the church choir. When I went to 4th grade, I joined the school choir and wanted to take voice lessons. I waited for my voice to grow more and took some piano lessons in the meantime. In middle school I started taking voice lessons with my first teacher who showed me technique. We worked on musical theatre and I loved it! I preformed in local musicals and sang in talent shows. I started to love performing (even though I was quite shy at the time.) In high school I did the NYSSMA adjudication festival and had to learn a classical song. My teacher said I should try "o mio babbino caro" I learned it and I realized singing was my passion and I had to do this more. From then on I knew opera was for me! I started studying with a classical teacher and learned more classical/ operatic rep. From then on I studied classical vocal performance in college and graduate school.
  • What artists inspire you?
As a performer, I am constantly inspired by a variety of artists who have made significant contributions to the world of music. Some of the artists who have had a profound impact on me classically include Maria Callas, Kathleen Battle, Joan Sutherland, Renée Fleming, and Luciano Pavarotti . Each of these legendary performers possessed a unique voice and style that helped to shape the genre of opera, and they continue to inspire me to strive for excellence in my own teaching and performance. Some non classical inspirations are Johnny Cash, Adele, Florence + the Machine, Kristin Chenoweth, and Whitney Houston. Additionally, I am always seeking out new talent and emerging artists who are pushing the boundaries of music, and I encourage my students to do the same. By staying connected to the latest developments in the world of opera, I am able to provide my students with the most current and relevant techniques and strategies for success.
  • What your mission as an artist?
My mission as a performer and educator is to use my skills (whether it be teaching or performing) to make people happy. I believe that music has the power to heal and bring joy to people's lives. Through my art, I want to help people forget their worries and troubles, even if it's just for a little while. My goal is to inspire my students to develop their own unique voices and express themselves authentically through music, hopefully changing the world for the better with their art.
